Color Options & Powder Coat Finishes
At Mascotte Security Doors in Portland, OR, we offer durable powder-coated finishes that protect and enhance your home. Our doors combine security with style. Your entry should reflect your taste and provide lasting protection. Therefore, we choose a premium powder coating process for every door we build.
Why Choose Powder Coating for Security Doors?
Powder coating is stronger than regular paint. It resists peeling, cracking, and fading. It also handles tough weather and daily wear. Consequently, the finish stays smooth and vibrant for years. Additionally, it requires minimal maintenance.
Our Multi-Step Powder Coating Process
We partner with a trusted local small business for powder coating. This means you receive top-quality results and supports our Portland community.
Step 1: Steel Surface Preparation
We start with sandblasting and phosphate treatment. This cleans and prepares the steel.
Step 2: Epoxy Primer and First Bake
Next, an epoxy primer is applied. Then it’s baked at 400°F to harden and bond to the surface.
Step 3: Polyester Topcoat and Final Bake
Afterward, a polyester topcoat is applied. It’s baked again for durability and smooth, even coverage.
This finish typically lasts 15 to 20 years. Moreover, with proper care, it can last even longer depending on your environment.
